We would like to invite the Australian School of Urban Forestry 2018 cohort to join us at the Burnley Campus in Melbourne to participate alongside the 2019 ASUF cohort for an evening of networking and a day of practice-informed learning.
During the inaugural Australian School of Urban Forestry (ASUF) in November 2018 participants expressed the need for a new collaborative network, one that better links research and practice and helps to support professional roles and responsibilities. Funded by a University of Melbourne Engagement grant, a new Australian Urban Forestry Network is being framed as a ‘community of practice’ to meet this need. The aims of the network are to support knowledge-sharing in urban forestry through an online platform, hosting an annual forum and co-developing resource materials that demonstrate best practice and problem-solving.
